Toda essa multidão se reuniu em tempo de paz, imagina quando chegar o tempo de angústia:

E naquele tempo se levantará Miguel, o grande príncipe, que se levanta a favor dos filhos do teu povo, e haverá um tempo de angústia, qual nunca houve, desde que houve nação até àquele tempo; mas naquele tempo livrar-se-á o teu povo, todo aquele que for achado escrito no livro.

Vi que Deus tem filhos que não vêem nem guardam o sábado. Não rejeitaram a luz a ele concernente. E, no começo do [pequeno] tempo de angústia, ficamos cheios do Espírito Santo quando saímos e de maneira mais ampla proclamamos o sábado. Vidas e Ensinos p. 95.

Quando Cristo cessar a Sua obra como mediador em prol do homem, então começará este [grande] tempo de angústia. Ter-se-á então decidido o caso de toda alma, e não haverá sangue expiatório para purificar do pecado. Ao deixar Jesus Sua posição como intercessor do homem junto a Deus, faz-se o solene anúncio: “Quem é injusto, faça injustiça ainda; e quem está sujo, suje-se ainda; e quem é justo, faça justiça ainda; e quem é santo, seja santificado ainda.” Apoc. 22:11. Então o Espírito repressor de Deus é retirado da Terra. Patriarcas e Profetas, pág. 201.

This whole crowd gathered in peacetime, imagine when the time of trouble:

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time will rid the your people, everyone who is found written in the book.
Daniel 12:1

I saw that God has children who do not see and keep the Sabbath. Not rejected light concerning him. And, at the beginning of [small] the time of trouble, we were filled with the Holy Spirit when we left and more broadly proclaim the Sabbath. Lives and Teachings p. 95.

When Christ shall cease His work as mediator in man’s behalf, then this [great] time of trouble will begin. Will have then decided the case of every soul, and no atoning blood to cleanse from sin. When Jesus leaves His position as man’s intercessor before God, it is the solemn announcement: “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he is holy, let him be holy still. “Apoc. 22:11. Then the restraining Spirit of God is withdrawn from the earth. Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 201.
